Wrap-up of COAST-SCAPES’ #OurApproachCampaign

Wrap-up of COAST-SCAPES’ #OurApproachCampaign

From 6 March to 7 August, the COAST-SCAPES project carried out its second social media campaign across LinkedIn, Instagram and Bluesky, seeking to uncover how the project will tackle one of the most pressing challenges facing coastal regions around the globe in an effort to build lasting coastal resilience.

Divided into 6 separate short videos, #OurApproachCampaign explored the pathway to achieving each of the project’s objectives, with each video consisting of three diverse parts. The first one presents the problem. The second one focuses on the approach applied. The last one introduces the expected outcome. Surprisingly, the campaign obtained promising results for science communication and for the purpose of the project. As a newly launched project, throughout the whole campaign, COAST-SCAPES’ accounts sparked notable audience interest and interactions, reaching over 1330 impressions, 140 engagements and almost 100 likes. Thanks to the strong performance of the campaign, the project’s viability was further boosted, which helped communicate the project’s achievements more effectively.

In case anyone has missed the campaign, it can be easily searched on LinkedIn, Instagram and Bluesky under the hashtag #OurApproachCampaign. This hashtag makes all campaign videos available to watch at any time.
